Who I am.
I started my architecture life at Arizona State University with a focus on pragmatic, sustainable, and thoughtful design in a multi-disciplinary environment. From sharing studio space with industrial designers and mixing classes with landscape architect curriculum, my experience at ASU was varied and exposed me to many different design strategies and attitudes. During my last years in Arizona I worked at H&S International, a small firm specializing in luxury residences and high-scale community developments. Here I learned the practical and real-world applications of architecture.
After graduating top of my class I moved to Houston to attend Rice University for my M.Arch. Intentionally contrasting ASU's environment, my time at Rice was focused on architectural history and theory in smaller, more academically conceptual studios. I learned as much from my very talented colleagues as I did from the lauded faculty and the 2.5 years I spent there flew by. After graduating I began working for a large Houston firm I had previously interned at, Ziegler Cooper Architects where I worked on both the interior and exterior of large-scale multi-family projects.Â
During the COVID-19 outbreak of 2020 I, like many others, found myself laid-off. I decided to take advantage of the situation and become licensed. Concurrently I began to acquire several projects of my own, mostly in Arizona, and moved back to my home state to pursue work on these new residences and renovations.
Currently I am working on a number of homes and residences in Arizona as the principal and owner of studio K group.
Thank you for taking the time to explore my work. If we would be a good fit to work together please do not hesitate to contact me.
